11:00 AM -12 Noon Elsie Campbell:  Quilt Show Judge Renovations and Innovations:  What makes a successful scrap quilt?  

Learn Elsie Campbell's tips for planning and constructing scrap quilts.  The Power Point presentation includes quilts from the International Quilt Study Center's collection and other acclaimed quilt makers.  Then, view a selection of quilts from Elsie's own award winners.

Thomas Sewing Center; Jerry Granata:  Free Motion Quilting Techniques: 

Take your quilting to the next level with free motion quilting tips from Jerry Granata, a Brother National Educator and a 1st prize winner in his category for "Fly Me To the Moon"at the Houston Quilt Festival.

Best Of Bernina Jacque Wenzel:  QAYG the Sashers Way: 

With the nifty sashers and this QAYG technique, the quilt back is finished as you join the pre-quilted blocks, adding sashing to the front only. No fabric strips are required on the back. WooHoo!


2:00-3:00 PM Ginny Eckley:  Quilt Show Judge The Other Side Of Judging: 

Do you wonder if the judges will appreciate your techniques and understand your style?   Using quilts from around the world, Ginny will show you how she judges, and what goes through her mind as she sees the quilts.  She'll also go through steps to show how she works to empower and give feedback that can help quilters and artists at all levels.

See how Westalee free motion rulers and templates open up your creative side by enabling a domestic machine quilter to produce a wide variety of designs normally reserved for longarm machine quilters.

11:00 AM -12 Noon Ginny Eckley:  Quilt Show Judge Creative Genius 

Art was my background, but when I began teaching, I was surprised at how many of my students had careers in fields as diverse as accounting, medicine, and real estate.  So, I began reading about creativity, and will share some of the fantastic wisdom and stories I gathered from inventive and resourceful characters.   I'll then show slides of my work, and how apply creative solutions in my own projects.

Join Janome-American Educator Amy Meeks as she demonstrates Janome solutions to quilting problems:  Acuflex versus walking foot; presser foot pressure and why it needs to be adjusted; and chain piecing made easy with a throat plate.

Willets Sewing and Embroidery Essentials

Watch a demonstration of the Juki MO2000, an air threader serger that offers easy set-up instructions and tension settings (15!) using a LCD screen.

Join Terry Mingee, Janome Freelance Educator, as she demonstrates how to quilt the Meadow Dance panel featuring the Westalee Designs Beautiful Borders and Feather Focus ruler sets.  Quilting beautiful projects can be made easy with your domestic sewing machine paired with the Westalee Rulers.
